What to Expect at Birmingham (Sutton Coldfield)
- With 4.3 roundabouts per route on average, Birmingham (Sutton Coldfield) is more roundabout-intensive than most UK centres. Route 6 has the highest concentration with 7, including Chester Rd.
- Route 15 alone has 8 sets of traffic lights — the most of any route here. Confident, smooth stops and pull-aways are essential.

You’ll come across a series of mini-roundabouts in areas like Orphanage Road, Holly Lane, and Goosemoor Lane. They come up quickly and in groups, so approach each one separately and carry out the correct roundabout technique each and every time.
