The App

For current, verified routes with turn-by-turn satnav navigation, check out the Driving Test Routes app by RouteLed.

Where Do the Routes Come From?

All routes are previously published DVSA driving test routes. They were made available through official channels and Freedom of Information requests over the years. While they are no longer actively updated by the DVSA, they remain a genuinely useful tool for learner drivers getting familiar with the roads around their test centre.

Note: The DVSA may now use different or updated routes. For the most accurate, current directions consider the Driving Test Routes app.

How to Use Them

You can follow the routes with a supervising driver or driving instructor, either using the step-by-step directions on screen or printed out.

Remember: Test routes are chosen by your examiner on the day and may vary depending on traffic or roadworks. These routes are for practice only and won't necessarily match your real test.

Pass Rates & Waiting Times
