Key Test Route Highlights

Rural Roads with Limited Signage

You'll be taken through open rural stretches like Griminish and Lochmaddy Road, where road signs are minimal and visibility can vary. Keep your speed appropriate at all times, anticipate the bends early, and watch for other vehicles.

Unmarked and T-Junction Practice

You’ll encounter several T-junctions with limited markings, such as at Winfield Way and Tindall Road. These are great opportunities to showcase solid junction routines - checking mirrors, signalling, and emerging only when the road is clear.

Returning Through Balivanich Village

The return leg goes through the village near the garage and shops, where pedestrian activity and parked cars will increase. Be prepared to slow down, give way when necessary, and position yourself carefully on the narrower sections.

Loopbacks and Route Repetition

The loop back onto Main Road or Airport Road, requires you to adjust to familiar roads, but from a different direction. Stay alert, and watch for changes in traffic flow the second time around.
