Busy Mini Roundabouts Through Bangor Town Centre

You'll likely pass through a series of mini roundabouts on Ffordd Garth, Ffordd Deiniol, and Ffordd Caernarfon. These can appear quickly one after another, so it’s important to keep your observations sharp, be ready to give way, and maintain smooth clutch control to stay in flow with traffic.

A55 and Dual Carriageway Practice

Each route includes a section on the A55, where you’ll join via a slip road. This is a great opportunity to show confidence when merging at higher speeds. Make sure you use mirrors, signal in good time, and match the flow of traffic when joining or leaving the carriageway.

Penrhos and Coed Mawr: Roundabout Hotspots

Areas like Ffordd Penrhos and Ffordd Coed Mawr include multiple roundabouts in close succession. Some are standard size while others are mini roundabouts, so be ready to alternate between different junction styles. Good lane positioning and early planning are key here.

Industrial Estate Start and End Points

Your test will begin and end within the Bangor Industrial Estate, which means navigating tight turns, parked vehicles, and possibly pedestrians right from the start. Don’t rush—take your time to observe clearly and make smooth gear changes as you set off or return.
