14 routes with 369 steps, 367 turns, 100 roundabouts & 52 lights to practise!
Ashford routes are packed with roundabouts—big and small. From navigating multi-lane roundabouts on Simone Weil Avenue and Romney Marsh Road to smaller junctions around Hythe Road and Quantock Drive, you'll get lots of chances to show control and good timing when giving way.
Streets like Malvern Road, Quantock Drive, and Twelve Acres are narrower and lined with parked cars. These are perfect spots for manoeuvres like pulling up on the right or reversing into a side road, so stay sharp with mirrors and keep it slow and smooth.
Many test routes include stretches along the A20 (Maidstone Road) and A28 (Canterbury Road). You’ll need to handle multiple lanes, frequent traffic lights, and filter arrows. Watch for road signs early and position yourself confidently when approaching roundabouts or turns.
Turns like exiting Grosvenor Road or Church Road onto busier roads demand patience and good judgement. Expect to wait for gaps and be confident with clutch control and acceleration when pulling into moving traffic.
